US Bank Center
Milwaukee’s US Bank Center is Stair Club Milwaukee’s “home turf.”
Located at 777 Wisconsin Ave., the 47-story building, which is the city’s tallest, is home to two races each year: the American Lung Association’s Fight For Air Climb every March and the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation’s Climbing For A Cure every November.
Since its first climb in 2009, Fight For Air Milwaukee has grown to be the largest FFA climb in the United States, both in terms of money raised for the ALA, as well as total climber participation.
Milwaukee's CF climb has been ongoing since 1990, with recorded race results on file dating back only to 2002. The CF climb has been the host to some of the fastest climb times recorded at the US Bank Center.
For competitive purposes, due to total participation numbers, the March Fight For Air Climb is considered a 100-point race under Towerrunning USA's US Amateur Rankings, while the November CF Climb is only 50. Due to competitive finishes near the top of the results, each of the two Milwaukee climbs has been awarded bonus points in their most recent iterations.
Currently, the fastest climb time posted at the US Bank Center since 2002 is 4:50, set at the 2011 CFF climb by Justin Stewart of Springfield, Ill. Stewart and Jesse Berg of Chicago are currently the only two people to have broken the 5 minute mark during a race. Berg has done it three times: 4:54 at the 2009 CFF climb, 4:59 at the 2010 CFF climb, and then 4:51—one second shy of Stewart—at that 2011 CFF climb.
The current fastest women’s mark at the US Bank Center is 5:55, set by Cindy Harris of Indianapolis, which was also set at that very same 2011 CFF climb. Harris’ effort also stands as the only female sub-6 minute performance in the building’s post-2002 recorded history.

While the building itself reaches 47 total stories, US Bank Center building management offers no official stairwell step count, leaving various counts floating around. The American Lung Association in Wisconsin touts a total of 1,034 steps for its climb, compared to the 985 that the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation advertises for its climb. The "official, unofficial Stair Club Milwaukee count" for total stair in the main climb stairwell is 981, as detailed in the building's stair chart.
